The five Overwatch League MVP finalists have been revealed. Voting began in June and the first phase is complete with the help of you and general managers of OWL teams. Here is the list of the five finalists and why they were chosen.
Sinatraa
Jay “Sinatraa” Won from the San Francisco Shock holds 1st for hero damage and lowest deaths with Zarya. He also fashions 3rd in teamfight win rate when he uses Graviton Surge. No doubt that he belongs on the MVP list.
Super
Matthew “Super” DeLisi from the San Francisco Shock holds a placing in five categories as Reinhardt. He is 1st in teamfight win rate after he dies first and fewest deaths. He also holds 2nd in teamfight win rate after he secures first kill, lowest first death rate in teamfights, and teamfight win rate when he uses Earthshatter. The fact that Sinatraa and Super are on the same team is terrifying.
Twilight
Ju-Seok “Twilight” Lee from the Vancouver Titans places in five categories as well with Zenyatta. He is 1st in teamfight win rate after he secures first elimination, lowest first death rate in team fights, teamfight win rate, and hero damage. He also holds 2nd in final blows. What a stellar stat line.
Jjanu
Hyun-Woo “Jjanu” Choi from the Vancouver Titans places 1st in fewest deaths and 2nd in teamfight win rate after he secures first kill and teamfight win rate as D.Va. Another dynamic duo that have earned their individual spots as MVP finalists.
Guxue
Last, but certainly not least, is Qiulin “Guxue” Xu of the Hangzhou Spark with his dominant Winston. He is 1st in fewest deaths and 2nd in hero damage and teamfight win rate when uses Primal Rage. An unstoppable Winston will always have a place, and Guxue has solidified himself as one of the best.
How to vote
Voting for the winner of these five finalists begins on July 25 and goes until Aug. 25. Tweet using either the Twitter handle or OWL handle of the player you would like to vote for with the #OWLMVP hashtag. There will be weekly MVP Checkpoints during the OWL livestream to help you learn more about each of these players.
The only question that remains is — who is your MVP?
