There are roughly 20 weapons you are able to unlock in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 beta. Most of these weapons were available to use in weekend one of the beta, which had a level cap of 20. However, there were some that couldn’t be used until reaching a higher level, such as the COR 45. While the COR 45 is technically a later unlock in the Modern Warfare 3 beta, you can actually unlock it whenever you want in the beta.
The COR 45 is a replica of the Glock 18, and it’s one of three pistols in the beta, joining the Renetti and the WSP Stinger. Being a replica of a classic pistol would be enough for players to want to use it, but the biggest boon of using the COR 45 is you get access to a Conversion Kit that turns the pistol into a mini-SMG after fully maxing out the weapon.
If you want to try out the COR 45 and unlock its Conversion Kit, you can read the guide below to see how to unlock it early in the MW3 beta.
Unlocking the COR 45 early in the Modern Warfare 3 beta
Luckily, this unlock method is completely safe, so your account won’t be at risk for trying it. It’s also extremely easy and can be done in just a few steps, which are seen below:
- Go to the loadout you want to use the COR 45 on
- Change your loadout’s Vest to the Gunner Vest
- Then, immediately change your Vest to the Infantry Vest
- You should have the COR 45 unlocked and equipped in your secondary slot
And it’s that easy. I can confirm this method works, as I have been using the COR 45 for the past few days during the PlayStation weekend of the beta.

Of course, the level cap during weekend two will be raised to level 30, giving you access to the COR 45 through normal means. But this method allows you to use the COR 45 from level one, which might be enticing to some players.
