In an interview with HLTV, Fernando “fer” Alvarenga, the rifler/lurker for MIBR, confirmed that team coach Wilton “zews” Prado will be part of the playing squad at the upcoming Starladder Major.

Zews is currently playing instead of Marcelo “coldzera” David following the two-time MVP’s decision to leave the organization. The decision came about following a series of poor performances from the team.

Rough times for MIBR

The Brazilian formation is currently contending at IEM Chicago already with zews as one of the players in the team. Fer’s news confirms that MIBR have not opted to have a stand-in for the period of time before they can get a new player signed into their ranks.

The issue with coldzera has complicated things for the Brazilian team. Not only are they left without a natural player, but they are also now left without a coach to supervise the team’s performance during matches. A coach’s role is to drive the team forward and notice mistakes that the players on the servers may not be seeing themselves. Having zews as part of the squad on the server will definitely impede MIBR’s chances to qualify for the playoff (Champions) stage at the StarLadder Major.

Can MIBR get back on track without their star player, coldzera?

It seems like MIBR cannot catch a break as constant team problems continue to get in the way of the team’s success. After an impressive run in late February to early March at the IEM Katowice Major where MIBR made it all the way to the semi-finals, it seems like they have not been able to find their winning ways ever since. Hopefully, the team can sort out their issues soon enough so that we will see a team with champion qualities once more.
