Season 4 introduced a new map, Vondel, a few fresh weapons, and a Battle Pass that features the same content fans have come to expect. Currently, it’s unclear exactly how many more seasons there will be of Warzone and MW2. With the next Call of Duty rumored to be coming out sometime in November, that doesn’t leave Activision much time to release too many more seasonal updates. However, we do know that Season 5 is all but confirmed. So when does it release?

Warzone and MW2 Season 5 release date

If players look at the timer for the Season 4 Battle Pass, they will see that a countdown has started. This countdown specifies how many days are left in the current Battle Pass so that players know exactly how long they have to get to Tier 100. This timer also lets us know when the next season will most likely arrive.

Currently, the Season 4 Battle Pass is set to expire on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, which is also when Season 5 is expected to begin. Of course, there are external factors that could easily change this date, such as a delay in the next season. As of right now, though, this is the most up-to-date knowledge we have regarding Season 5’s release date.

Naturally, not much else is known about Season 5. We know that it will likely feature a couple of new multiplayer maps and weapons for MW2 in addition to a fresh Battle Pass and store bundles for players to purchase. Aside from that, we will have to wait and see what Activision has up its sleeve for the next installment of content in Warzone and MW2.
