Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has officially been revealed and now players are wondering what’s next for the next entry in the series. While we still have some campaign trailers to see, many players in the community are patiently awaiting the release of the Modern Warfare 3 beta.

Betas have become an annual staple for Call of Duty and they are usually released around the same time each year. In the past, the betas will launch around one month before the official release date for the next game. This year, MW3 launches on Nov. 10, which would place the beta around early October. However, as of now, we have not heard anything from Activision regarding an actual date for the beta.

Luckily, some leakers have discovered evidence of when the beta could begin.

Modern Warfare 3 beta release date

According to the most recent leaks, the beta for MW3 will begin on Friday, Oct. 6. This date was leaked by a retail store document that outlined the beta dates as well as some other content. This document states that the first weekend of the beta will run from Oct. 6-10 and the second weekend of the beta will go from Oct. 12-16.

The first weekend of the beta will only be open to PlayStation 4+ 5 owners who pre-ordered MW3 or received a code elsewhere. Then, the second weekend of the beta will include all platforms.

The second weekend will have a couple of days of early access for any player who has pre-ordered MW3 or received a code. Then, likely on Oct. 14, the MW3 beta will be open to anyone, regardless of their platform or pre-order status.

It remains to be seen whether these leaked dates hold up, but that’s the most up-to-date information we have regarding the MW3 beta.
