Western Europe DPC tiebreakers are complete

The tiebreakers for the Western DPC determine the amount of DPC points that each team will receive at the end of the season. The third place winner will receive 120, fourth place will get 60, and fifth will get 30. The top two positions in the region have been decided, with Team Liquid taking first with 6-1 record and Team Tickles in second with a 5-2 record.

The story of the tiebreakers was dominated by Team Tundra not dropping a single game throughout the tiebreakers. In their undefeated streak, they took a record breaking win against Nigma Galaxy, with a scoreline of 6-51 in favor of Tundra. The game was statistically significant in the worst way for Nigma Galaxy. Igor “iLTW” Filatov, the carry player for Galaxy Racer, accrued 10 deaths at the 20 minute mark. Before then he had never had more than seven. He had never had more than 13 deaths in any professional game, and against Tundra, he had 16. Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu had a 14/0/35 scoreline, the highest KDA on a Clockwerk of all time.

Team Secret and NGX are left at the bottom of the Western Europe DPC Tiebreakers. Analysts are expecting Team Secret to have one of the strongest rosters in the region with the addition of Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan and Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang from the offseason. Secret only took a game off of Nigma Galaxy, the team that placed last in the tiebreaker. Team Secret tried to run their patented Jakiro offlane strategy to no avail against OG.

With the tiebreakers now concluded, the Top 6 in the Western Europe DPC are as follows: Team Liquid, Team Tickles, Team Tundra, OG, Team Secret, Nigma Galaxy.

Alliance and Coolguys will be relegated into the second division for the next season.
