Warzone Modern Warfare battle royale release Activision

Warzone battle royale possibly releasing next week, announcement could arrive today

It appears the time is almost here for Warzone battle royale’s official reveal. Activision and Infinity Ward have dodged the topic of the new mode coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare up to this point. However, according to multiple reliable sources, an announcement for the mode is coming later today.

We’re not sure of what this announcement entails, but it’s likely Activision will at least acknowledge Warzone’s existence. Along with the reveal, we’ve also learned that the supposed release date for Warzone is Mar. 10.

Announcement coming for Warzone later?

It’s rare for a developer or publisher to not publicly disclose its latest project for too long. The developers aren’t staying quiet either, as Activision has taken legal action against a leaker who initially posted the Warzone promotional image.

So, while we know Modern Warfare is receiving a battle royale, it still can’t be officially confirmed. That may change tomorrow though, as FaZe Clan’s “Agony” spilled the beans on a recent Twitch Stream.

The video you see above is courtesy of TheGamingRevolution, our foremost authority on Warzone. TGR has stated for weeks that Warzone is releasing on Mar. 10, which Agony backs up. It’s not clear if the FaZe Clan member knows this because of firsthand knowledge or if he’s speculating.

However, it would make sense that Agony was invited to a pre-release event for Warzone. Activision often invites streamers and creators out to Los Angeles to play new Call of Duty games and DLC early. It’s within the realm of possibility that Agony was at this event and is now telling the community what he heard. In short, if Agony is correct, then a Warzone announcement of some kind is coming later today.
