Riot Games has announced a new VALORANT weapon skin line, Ruination, that looks quite similar to the last two weapon skin bundles it released.

Ruination was released on Wednesday, July 7 when Riot Games confirmed the leaks via Twitter. The weapon skin bundle features four gun skins and one melee skin, following a similar pattern from recent collections. VALORANT has recently seen two green-themed weapon skin bundles. This is outside of the Give Back Bundle, which was announced as donations to the Riot Games Social Impact fund. However, these skin lines are not just similar in color; they share similar designs, melee weapons and guns.

Ruination compared to Forsaken

Once a month, VALORANT offers a new weapon skin bundle for players to purchase for an extended period in the shop. These bundles feature different guns and come at a discounted price if a player buys them all at once. In April, Riot released VALORANT’s Forsaken skin bundle, which mixed the style of the Reaver and Sovereign bundles. The skins were a hit amongst players due to their similarity to the two other popular skin lines.

Forsaken is available for the Operator, Classic, Spectre and Vandal with a dagger melee. All skins are dark green with a lighter green effect that radiates across the skins. The Ruination bundle does not share this lighting effect but it has a similar greenish-blue aura throughout the skins. Ruination will also feature skins for the Spectre, as the Forsaken bundle does.

Tethered Realms and Ruination

The Tethered Realms bundle was announced in May and confirmed by Riot Games to be a combination to both Sovereign and Forsaken. Unlike the Forsaken bundle, the this bundle shows a depiction of a kingdom in the skin itself. The original form of the skin still follows the same green hue throughout all the weapons. Tethered Realms also has a dagger melee that is almost identical to the Forsaken one that was released before. The dagger comes with a long sword that can only be seen by the user when it is being wielded. Ruination will also feature a long sword that will be visible to anyone but it will not feature a dagger.

The Ruination bundle will feature skins for the Spectre, Guardian, Phantom and Ghost with a sword melee. Fans saw the Guardian and Ghost skins with the Tethered Realms bundle, as well as the Spectre with the Forsaken bundle the month before.
