Are you a woman who wants a chance to showcase your Valorant skills for a chance to take home a prize? This weekend, Nerd Street Gamers is hosting a tournament for only women called the FTW (For the Women) Summer Showdown.

About Valorant’s FTW Summer Showdown

The FTW Summer Showdown, sponsored by T1 and G FUEL, will take place on Saturday, September 12 beginning at 12 p.m. PT, with the qualifiers starting on September 5. The Valorant tournament will begin with a group phase where the top two teams for each group will advance to the playoffs. The bracket will update in real-time. Players will have a chance to choose sides and ban maps.

The tournament has a $10,000 prize pool and will only be available for players in North America. The prize pool includes $1,000 dollars split between the top three and the first placer will get an invite to a tournament in the future.

How to sign up

If you want to participate in the tournament, you will need to join the “Galorants” Discord (a Discord server for female Valorant players). You can find teammates and get a team together to register (if you don’t have one). Registration is completely free and the deadline is Friday, September 4, at 8:59 p.m. PT.

Once your team is registered, team captains must attend a discord meeting at 11:30 a.m. PT to start the tournament. The tournament will run on Battlefly and captains will need a Battlefly account.

Where to watch

If you want to watch the tournament, you can catch it on Nerd Street Gamers’ official Twitch channel. Remember, the tournament starts this Saturday at noon pacific.
