Unable to access Shadow of the Erdtree on Xbox

You’ve loaded in, you’ve gone to where the DLC is supposed to start, but no NPC shows up. This is an immensely frustrating situation, but the problem is kind of silly. You don’t have the DLC yet. Allow me to explain.

As an Xbox user, you’ve likely only downloaded the access token. To access the DLC on Xbox, you have to go into the base game, and then select “Microsoft Store” from the main menu, where you can then download the full DLC.

After that, you’ll be able to access it no problem.

Unable to access Shadow of the Erdtree on Playstation

Firstly, if you’re having licence issues, find out how to restore licences on your PS5. If you simply can’t access the DLC for whatever reason, the solution is simple. After downloading, just restart your Playstation.

It’s as simple as that, and has worked for a bunch of people. So I really hope it works for you! I’m in pain just thinking about you folks who can’t play yet!

Enjoy it, and don’t rage too hard when you die for your tenth time in the first hour, eh? 🙂
