TSM Female announce new head coach zecK ahead of Game Changers

The TSM squad has a full staff and team ahead of the next big women's tournament.

TSM has announced Addison “zecK” Gorzeck as the new coach for its TSM Female VALORANT squad. The American coach was a Counter-Stirke competitor and jumped into VALORANT in 2020. He joins the squad as their first coach ahead of the second installment of the VALORANT Challengers Tour Game Changers Series. The tournament begins with open qualifiers on June 19.

“We’re powering up our VALORANT division! Today we’re happy to announce that @zecK_VAL will be joining our VALORANT team as Head Coach. We can’t wait to see how much @athxna and the squad grow with his help and strategy! Welcome to the TSM FTX family,” the TSM FTX Report account tweeted.

The coach previously played for Ghost Gaming and the defunct Mamba Mode Gaming team. He mostly played smoke characters in his time as a player. Ghost Gaming benched and released zecK in February of 2021.

TSM Female before Game Changers

TSM are coming off of a tournament win at Sakura Cup #2. They fought through fellow Game Changers attendees Man I Love Fwogs and defeated NOTHING2LOSE in the finals. NOTHING2LOSE had two former TSM Female members Ariane “ARIANARCHIST” Lafrenière and Katherine “LunarKats” So. TSM swept their former teammates in convincing fashion 13-7 and 13-3 in the best-of-three grand finals.

The squad has looked hot in its other tournaments as well. They won the Tampax Gaming Fest in its best-of-one tournament and came second in the first iteration of the Sakura Cup. They fell to Game Changers finalists CLG Red in straight series. The TSM squad has improved since their Game Changers days.

At the first Game Changers event, they fell out in the second round. They lost to Dignitas in the first round and CLG Red in the second, both matches went to three games. Since, the only teams that have been able to challenge TSM have been Dignitas and CLG. Even the young amateur teams, Built Butter – formerly Moon Racoons Black – and Man I Love Fwogs have not been able to take them down.

Now with zecK as the head coach, and Mirna “athxna” Noureldin as the team’s in-game leader, the squad has a full staff ahead of Game Changers 2 on July 19.
