In Call of Duty: Warzone, the meta weapons are traditionally determined by how well they perform in-game. Sometimes, a weapon is kept in the meta based on how well it’s performed in the past, despite possibly being nerfed. The NZ-41 is a great example of this since it’s been nerfed a few times in Season 4, but is still in the meta because of how strong it was previously. In Season 4 Reloaded of Warzone, we can see just how well each performs thanks to the work of the website WZRanked.

This website tracks each weapon, and the loadout used with it, to account for each player’s kill/death ratio when using it. From here, we can determine just how successful players are when they use a certain weapon in Warzone. If players have a higher KD with a weapon on average, chances are that weapon will be featured prominently in the meta.

The UGM-8 is our pick for the best light machine gun in Warzone Season 4, and it’s not without reason. The UGM absolutely shreds enemies at long range. It has almost no recoil with the right attachments and can eliminate enemies in a split second. It’s no wonder why players are able to use it at such a high level. The UGM also has two meta loadouts, giving players even more of a reason to equip it on their loadout.

Our pick for the best SMG is the Armaguerra 43 and Warzone players clearly agree. The Armaguerra 43 is being used commonly and effectively, as it features the second-best KD for an SMG in Season 4. Even though it has the second-best SMG KD, the Armaguerra 43 is arguably the best close-range weapon in the entire game.

The KG M40 is the new NZ-41 in Warzone. It has practically no recoil and an increased amount of damage range after its buff in Season 4. While it was slightly nerfed more recently, the KG M40 is still the best assault rifle in Warzone by a solid margin, and the average KD for it backs that up.

Despite the Armaguerra 43 receiving more love as an overall weapon, the H4 Blixen still holds the highest KD for both SMGs and every other class. This is likely a result of the pre-nerf H4 Blixen, as Raven Software has nerfed it twice since Season 4 began. While it might not be the top dog in the SMG class anymore, the H4 Blixen is more than capable of mowing enemies down in Warzone Season 4.
