This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 concluded on May 22 as FaZe Clan became the first international roster to win a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive major. The event was jam packed with memorable moments and highlights worthy of one of the biggest tournaments in esports.

This list compiles the top 10 best highlights from PGL Major Antwerp 2022. These are the big brain plays, the sick flicks and the incredible clutches that make a major truly special.

10. S1mple’s fast flick

It really wouldn’t be a major without a highlight from Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev. Even though Natus Vincere’s star had a tough tournament (at least by his standards), he still had occasional moments that reminded us why he’s the GOAT. Take this disgusting flick for example.

9. The dagger

It takes some serious cojones to go for a knife kill at a major. Add to that a triple overtime in the semifinals and only a madman would be crazy enough to go for the knife — a madman like Finn “karrigan” Andersen.

8. Aleksib’s precision headshot

Even though G2 Esports had a disappointing finish at the major — falling short of the playoffs — there were still highlights aplenty. With all the stars on the roster, it comes as a surprise that one of the best highlights at Antwerp came from in-game leader Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen. This 1v2 clutch just goes to show that Aleksib’s got some brawn to go along with his brain.

7. The Flash strikes again

Speaking of G2, their young AWPer Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov has become something of a highlight machine. Here, he one-ups his IGL with a 1v3 clutch. M0NESY has become synonymous with his lightning fast flicks and this is no exception.

6. 180 degrees of get wrecked

René “TeSeS” Madsen nearly broke his wrist with this ridiculous 180 degree decapitation.

5. Magixx’s cool, calm clutch

Boris “magixx” Vorobyev barely broke a sweat with this 1v4 clutch. The rifler for Spirit looked completely unFaZed by his opposition and ended this triple OT round with a pixel perfect AWP headshot.

4. Magisk magic

There’s magic and then there’s Emil “Magisk” Reif. Even though Team Vitality couldn’t overcome Heroic, this round was a sweet, silver lining. Magisk lands five crisp Deagle headshots to net himself the ace and his team the round.

This is one of those highlights where you wonder what it would’ve sounded like in front of the Antwerp crowd.

3. Ropz’s round

This round was one giant highlight. The semifinals of PGL Major Antwerp couldn’t get more tense, and this was how FaZe closed out Map 1. It took monumental effort from Robin “ropz” Kool and some killer instincts to get this clutch. Even then, the bomb timer was almost too close to call. Add in the roar of the crowd and you have an instant classic major moment.

2. Here comes the rain

Almost every member of FaZe appears on this list (sorry Twistzz), so it wouldn’t be fair to exclude HÃ¥vard “rain” Nygaard. Watch as the Norwegian Antwerp MVP goes Super Saiyan with the USP-S. He ends the second pistol round of the grand final with an absolutely mind-bending ace.

1. Broky goes nuclear

The top highlight from PGL Major Antwerp 2022 has to be FaZe’s Helvijs “broky” Saukants squeezing a round out of absolutely nowhere. It looked as though Ninjas in Pyjamas had found a cheeky eco round in the quarterfinals. That’s when broky lands the b-hop and then hits three disgusting shots in a row, two with a TEC-9. It was a true momentum round early in the pivotal map of the series and an overall incredible highlight.
