Hearthstone’s newest single-player adventure mode, The Dalaran Heist, will be going live today for the Rise of Shadows expansion.
Similar to previous Solo Adventure modes, Hearthstone players will get to select a hero and duke it out against increasingly difficult bosses. Along the way, players will get to add more cards to their decks and choose powerful treasures to give them an advantage. Much like in Rastakhan’s Rumble runs, once a player is defeated, they will lose their current deck and have to start again.
What makes The Dalaran Heist special is that it will include more ways players can enjoy Hearthstone. For one, it will have an Anomaly Mode, where players get to battle through a chapter with rules that are randomized. This week, The Dalaran Heist will have the “Dalaran Bank” and “The Violet Hold” as available chapters.
In addition, players will get to experience new Hero Powers on top of the available ones within the nine playable classes. Heroic Mode is also back, with the ultimate version of each boss ready to be encountered by players.
When a player completes a chapter, they will get three Rise of Shadows card packs, as well as a Golden Classic card pack once all of them are completed. Conquering every chapter on Normal Mode grants players a unique card back, while Heroic Mode also grants a unique card back to award players for their strategy and gameplay. With five chapters included in The Dalaran Heist, players can earn up to 16 card packs.
Hearthstone players can get started on the epic adventure for free, as the first hero and chapter for the The Dalaran Heist will be available for everyone.
Over the next few weeks, more chapters will be available as either a bundle purchase containing all the chapters or as individual purchases with either 700 Gold or $6.99 USD.
Players who own all five chapters of The Dalaran Heist will also be rewarded with a golden Zayle, Shadow Cloak card for their collection. When this card gets put into an empty deck, the player will get a pre-made E.V.I.L. deck to duel with against their opponent.
While players wait for the The Dalaran Heist to begin, they can head on over to this week’s Tavern Brawl, choose a hero, and duke it out against others with a team of random Legendary cards. These Legendary cards are cloned four times each. Coupled with a good use of the Offensive Play card, which makes “The next Legendary minion you play and all your other copies cost (3) less,” Hearthstone players can wreak havoc against their opponents.
