The best Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Madolche Deck guide

An expert guide showing players how to build and win with one of the best OTK combo decks in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel features a ton of combo decks that specialize in going first and setting up huge boards. But what if there was a combo deck that specializes at going second, breaking boards and winning the duel in one turn? Specifically, that’s where the Madolche archetype comes in. In fact, Madolche is perhaps the strongest going second deck in the game. Thus, Upcomer’s Platinum 1 ranked duelist shows players how to play, pilot and build the cute dessert-themed destruction machine in this Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Madolche deck guide.

How to play

Madolche can be played in two different ways: As a control deck or a super aggressive aggro deck with the goal to kill opposing players in a single turn (a one turn kill). Because there is the unique banlist that Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel has and the best of one format, the OTK variant is by far the better choice. This is because players will almost always be able to go second in a format where everyone else wants to go first. This version specializes in breaking down the opponent’s boards and then blasting through with the power of the deck’s one-card OTK combo. To illustrate the combo, Upcomer created an in-depth Madolche combo guide. Furthermore, the guide teaches players the ins and outs of how to win in one turn.

Equally important, to ensure the combo goes off the deck maxes out on hand-trap negates, which are the real threats to this deck. For example,  Crossout Designator and Called by the Grave can make sure the deck is able to push through negates.

Last but not least are the board breakers. These cards pretty much tell the opposing player it’s safe to go off because on your turn, you can clear the board. For example, cards like Lightning Storm, Triple Tactics Talent, Forbidden Droplet and Evenly Matched are all capable of making opposing boards obsolete in the face of dessert dolls.  And of course, what would a modern Yu-Gi-Oh! deck be without hand traps? In particular, cards like Maxx “C”, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, and Nibiru, The Primal Being help make sure the opponent can’t even reach their end board, which is always a good thing.

How to get the cards

For many of the staple cards found in the deck, a player’s best bet is to use crafting material to make them. But for the Madolche cards, they can be found in this Secret Pack.

  • Beloved Dolls

Once players create the deck they may see that it is on the pricier side. However, the staple cards in the deck are played in many other decks so the investment is well worth it.
