The best XM4 loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3

A nerfed weapon that still has a great loadout
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information

In the recent Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 Reloaded update, the developers at Raven Software decided to shake up the weapon meta slightly. This included nerfing some of the battle royale’s best weapons, including the XM4 assault rifle from Black Ops Cold War. Prior to Season 3 Reloaded, the XM4 was among the top choices for assault rifles in Warzone. However, players must decide if it’s still worth using. For those willing to use the XM4 even after its nerf, it still has a dominant loadout in Warzone.

The XM4 has always been a mainstay in the assault rifle meta of Warzone since its introduction in Black Ops Cold War Season 1. Although, it has been the subject of numerous buffs and nerfs, leading players to constantly substitute it with other weapons on their loadouts. In Season 3 Reloaded, there are better options, but the XM4 remains a great option for players who want to use a traditional AR.

Best XM4 loadout in Warzone

There aren’t many weaknesses with the XM4, but Raven Software did nerf the following stats on the weapon in Season 3 Reloaded:

  • Max Damage decreased to 28, down from 29
  • Max Damage Range decreased to 20.3 meters, down from 22.3 meters
  • Neck Damage Multiplier decreased to 1.3, down from 1.33

This means that players will need to maybe hit one or two more shots to knock an enemy. With the XM4’s recommended loadout, though, that shouldn’t be a major issue.

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: 13.5″ Task Force
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Ammunition: STANAG 60 Round

This loadout has not changed in some time and there’s no reason for it to just because the XM4 was slightly nerfed. Players see an increase in their bullet velocity, damage range, recoil control and overall damage with this XM4 loadout in Warzone. This still makes the XM4 a viable option as Season 3 wraps up.
