The best Volk loadout for competitive in Call of Duty: Vanguard

A newfound meta weapon in Vanguard

Over the weekend, the Call of Duty League Major II event took place. The LA Guerrillas won the event in miraculous fashion, besting Atlanta FaZe in the grand final with a substitute. That substitute, singlehandedly introduced the entire community to a new meta assault rifle in Vanguard. Spart began using the Volk assault rifle and found immediate success with its loadout. After his breakthrough, every other CDL team ran the Volk in their matches, leading fans in the competitive community to wonder what exact loadout the pros were using to dominate their enemies.

The Volk is a fast-firing assault rifle with decent damage range and accuracy. Compared to the Automaton, the other meta AR in Vanguard, the Volk is less accurate but has a larger magazine size and can kill quicker. This makes it perfect for assault rifle players who like to play more aggressively. The Automaton should still be used by anchors in Ranked Play or other competitive matches in Vanguard, as it’s better at long range.

Below, fans can see the exact Volk loadout players like Spart use in Vanguard.

Best competitive Volk loadout in Vanguard

  • Muzzle: T1 Flash Hider
  • Barrel: Krausnick 428mm 05V
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: Reisdork 22V Adjustable
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: N/A
  • Ammo Type: FMJ Rounds
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
  • Proficiency: Fleet
  • Kit: On-Hand

Some of these attachments are a bit off-meta, like the T1 Flash Hider and Fleet Proficiency. The Flash Hider improves accuracy but lowers ADS speed. However, Spart claims this attachment is the secret to making the Volk as dominant as it is. Fleet, on the other hand, allows players to move faster. This makes the Volk even stronger in the hands of aggressive AR players.

The rest of the loadout is fairly straightforward. Most of the attachments are focused on reducing recoil and improving mobility. With this loadout now public, players can expect to see much more of it in Vanguard’s Ranked Play.
