The Season 6 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone arrived earlier today and brought a ton of content with it. There are several new Operators to unlock, a few different multiplayer maps, and three new weapons to unlock and level up. One of those weapons is the TR-76 Geist assault rifle, which will look familiar to players who used the RAM-7 in Modern Warfare. In MW2, though, the Tr-76 Geist carries an extremely strong loadout that rivals any other assault rifle in multiplayer.
The TR-76 Geist is a strong, balanced weapon in MW2. It doesn’t have any glaring weaknesses aside from slow mobility, which is to be expected with a bigger AR. On the plus side, the weapon has an extremely strong damage range, terrific accuracy, and a moderate fire rate. While the TR-76 Geist is pretty well-tuned by default, equipping it with its best set of attachments will turn it into a monster in MW2.
To see the best loadout for the TR-76 Geist in MW2, check out the guide below.
Best TR-76 Geist loadout in MW2
- Barrel: LOC.5 Long Barrel
- Optic: Slimline Pro
- Comb: FSS Hardtop Comb
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
- Rear Grip: STIP-66 Grip
You won’t find many, if any weaknesses by using this loadout for the TR-76 Geist. It improves all of the pertinent stats for an AR in multiplayer, making the Geist an even stronger gun than it already was.
The LOC.5 Long Barrel starts out the loadout, increasing damage range and bullet velocity. That’s followed up with the FTAC Ripper 56 and STIP-66 Grip to further eliminate any recoil the gun might have at longer ranges.

Finally, I have the FSS Hardtop Comb to add a little extra mobility and the Slimline Pro optic. You can choose to run the iron sights on the TR-76 Geist to open up an attachment slot, but I think the iron sights take up a little much of the screen.
As a final note, you can use the TR-76 Geist in the new Modern Warfare 3 and use this same loadout to great effect. However, you will need to change most of the rest of the class, as the perks have been entirely changed in the new multiplayer title. You can still use the same lethal or tactical as well as a similar secondary weapon. Of course, I suggest using some of the new content first so you can experience some of the fresh items in MW3.
