The release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone brought forth two new weapons into both games. On the submachine gun side is the compact Tec-9 while the assault rifle class was gifted the sow but powerful EM2. Both weapons are considered one of the best in their respective classes, but the Tec-9 and its loadout are a little more dominant early on in Season 5’s life cycle.
At first glance, it doesn’t seem like the Tec-9 would have much kick behind it. After all, it’s a three-round burst SMG that’s not too great in Warzone, so players weren’t expecting much in Cold War. However, the various repeater attachments on the Tec-9 turn it into an absolute monster capable of taking down anything in its path.
Best Tec-9 loadout in Black Ops Cold War
The most important choice players are facing with the Tec-9 loadout is whether or not to make it fully automatic. While the Tec-9 is meant to be a three-round burst weapon, it has a muzzle attachment that makes it full auto. However, there are also other repeater attachments that increase its fire rate, making the decision tough for players.
- Muzzle:Â Burst Fire Repeater
- Barrel: 7.3″ Reinforced Heavy
- Underbarrel:Â Field Agent Grip
- Ammunition:Â 30 Rnd
- Handle: Speed Tape
As the loadout states, the best attachment for the Tec-9 in Cold War multiplayer is the Burst Fire Repeater. While the allure of a fully auto gun is appealing, the Burst Fire Repeater increases fire rate by 17% while also adding some recoil control. Unfortunately, this comes with a reduction to damage range. Luckily, the 7.3″ Reinforced Heavy barrel adds some back and then some, giving players an overall increase in damage range.
The rest of the loadout is fairly standard for an SMG. The Field Agent Grip dramatically reduces recoil and the 30 Rnd adds some extra bullets while not carrying a huge negative. Finally, the Speed Tape adds a much-needed ADS time increase. However, it also doesn’t take away from sprint-to-fire time like other handle attachments.
This Tec-9 loadout will shred enemies in close to medium range as long as players are accurate with the bursts.
