The PDSW 528 has seen one of the rockier life cycles out of any submachine gun in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 since its release. The replica of the classic P90 started off as an abysmal SMG but has slowly worked its way up the ladder over the course of several buffs throughout various seasons. Now, in the final stretch of MW2, the PDSW 528 has a strong loadout that comes close to rivaling that of the Vaznev-9K and VEL 46.
While the PDSW 528 isn’t the strongest submachine gun in multiplayer, it can certainly hold its own; the compact SMG can pack a punch and a has terrific fire rate to boot. Of course, the biggest boon of using the P90 is its base magazine size, which is only outclassed by the Minibak. Players will be able to take on multiple enemies before even having to think about reloading. Still, players will want to equip some specific attachments on the PDSW 528 so they can take out those enemies even quicker.

Best PDSW 528 loadout in MW2
Since the PDSW 528 functions best as a close-range SMG, players using it in MW2 should primarily focus on mobility. However, there are also attachments to boost other stats as well so players aren’t left helpless at longer ranges.
- Underbarrel: XTEN Gravedigger
- Barrel: 17″ Corvus Prorange
- Stock: CQB Stock
- Rail: Integrated Reflex Rail
- Laser: VLK LZR 7mW
The loadout begins with the 17″ Corvus Prorange barrel, which gives players some added damage range, recoil control, and bullet velocity to help out with any long range fights. The XTEN Gravedigger underbarrel also helps out in the accuracy department as well.
For mobility, I have the CQB Stock and the VLK LZR 7mW laser to provide a huge boost to sprint-to-fire speed and aim down sights time. Finally, the Integrated Reflex Rail is a terrific sight that also increases mobility. While the PDSW 528 won’t win any awards as the best gun in MW2, its loadout packs a serious punch.
As a final note, you can use the PDSW 58 in the new Modern Warfare 3 and use this same loadout to great effect. However, you will need to change most of the rest of the class, as the perks have been entirely changed in the new multiplayer title. You can still use the same lethal or tactical as well as a similar secondary weapon. Of course, I suggest using some of the new content first so you can experience some of the fresh items in MW3.
