Call of Duty
The meta of Call of Duty: Warzone underwent a fairly large shift when Season 4 rolled around. Developer Raven Software changed a variety of weapons, for better and worse, leading to new weapons falling in and out of the meta. While there are certainly new guns players should try out in Season 4, there are also weapons that have remained as steady as ever. The MP40 and its best loadout have remained one of the top guns in Warzone despite the meta shift that came with Season 4.
Since Vanguard was initially integrated in late 2021, the MP40 has dominated the submachine gun category. While other weapons have emerged to challenge the MP40, such as the H4 Blixen or Welgun in recent seasons, not many guns have surpassed it for too long. As it currently stands in Season 4, the new Marco-5 SMG is slightly stronger than the MP40. However, Raven Software will likely apply a nerf to the Marco, which will in turn put the MP40 right back at the top.
Best MP40 loadout in Warzone
The recommended loadout for the MP40 hasn’t changed much over the course of four seasons. Players still want to increase its fire rate, damage range, recoil control and mobility in order to make it one of the best SMGs around. To do that, players can use the following attachments in Warzone.
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: VDD 189mm Short
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: Krausnick 33M Folding
- Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
- Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 45 Round Mags
- Ammo Type: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
- Proficiency: Steady
- Kit: Quick
With this loadout, players are gaining a boost to all of the stats we mentioned above. Also, the MP40’s magazine size is increased as well as its bullet velocity. When the Marco-5 inevitably receives a nerf, this MP40 loadout will be waiting for players with open arms.
