While the Season 2 Reloaded update in Call of Duty: Warzone altered the game in more ways than one, what hasn’t changed is the MP40’s status. Thanks to its mixture of mobility, damage range and accuracy, the MP40 remains one of, if not the top SMG in Warzone.
The new Armguerra 43 could make things interesting in the category but, for now, the MP40 is still king. Its base stats certainly help keep this status but the MP40 is so dominant mainly thanks to its Warzone loadout.
The MP40 doesn’t need many attachments to surpass almost any Vanguard SMG. However, with the new competition from the Armaguerra 43 and Owen Gun, players want to ensure they have the most up-to-date MP40 loadout for Season 2. You can see that loadout below.

This loadout begins with the Recoil Booster to increase fire rate and is followed by the Krausnick 317mm 04B to improve range and recoil control. The optic of choice is the Slate Reflector, which is the best option for close to medium range gunfights.
To help keep the MP40 stable during those gunfights, players should use the M1941 Hand Stop and Polymer Grip. They both increase accuracy while the Polymer Grip also adds some flinch resistance. For mobility purposes, the Krausnick 33M Folding Stock and Steady perk are equipped. The former increases sprint-to-fire time while the latter boosts movement speed while aiming down sights.
The loadout is rounded out by the 7.62 Gorenko 45 Round Mags to give some extra bullets in each magazine. Lengthened is the ammunition of choice thanks to its boost to bullet velocity.
This MP40 has it all and can dominate any situation you might come across in Warzone Season 2.
