Since the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the Minibak hasn’t been seen as a top-tier submachine gun. It has seen its fair share of nerfs and buffs, but the majority of players never truly made it a mainstay on their loadouts in multiplayer. However, in Season 6, the Minibak holds an incredibly strong loadout in MW2 that might surprise some people.
The Minibak has been one of the most well-hidden secrets in multiplayer over the course of MW2. Many players still haven’t realized how strong it could be. While the Minibak isnt as effective as the Vaznev-9K, it can be one of the upper-echelon SMGs in the game. If you want to see if the Minibak is still viable even after some nerfs leading up to Season 6, you need to use its recommended set of attachments.

Best Minibak loadout in MW2
By default, without any attachments, the Minibak has little recoil, great damage range, a giant magazine, and solid mobility. To make it even stronger, we’ll be increasing the Minibak’s recoil control and mobility, which turns it into a huge threat at both close and long range.
- Muzzle: Bruen Pendulum
- Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
- Stock: Oztrezat Stock
- Rear Grip: Demo X2 Grip
- Magazine: Minibak Grip Mag
The loadout begins with the Bruen Pendulum muzzle, which drastically increases recoil control. The Demo X2 Grip further boosts that stat as well. The FSS OLE-V Laser and Oztrezat Stock are in place to greatly improve mobility while the Minibak Grip Mag buffs recoil stabilization and aiming stability without reducing the SMG’s base magazine size.
As a final note, you can use the Minibak in the new Modern Warfare 3 and use this same loadout to great effect. However, you will need to change most of the rest of the class, as the perks have been entirely changed in the new multiplayer title. You can still use the same lethal or tactical as well as a similar secondary weapon. Of course, I suggest using some of the new content first so you can experience some of the fresh items in MW3.
