The best MG42 loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Season 1

A decent light machine gun to use in Season 1

Currently, in Season 1, light machine guns are running the show in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific. From the Type 11 to the now all-powerful Bren, Vanguard LMGs truly cannot be stopped on Caldera. This also applies to other LMGs from the WWII shooter, including the MG42. The MG42 isn’t as popular as the Bren, but it can be equally as useful if players equip the right loadout for it in Warzone Pacific.

Just like other LMGs, the MG42 has a huge magazine, limited mobility and virtually no recoil when using the right attachments — whereas the MG42 can fall short of the Bren in the damage range department. Using its top loadout, though, players can maintain the MG42’s tremendous recoil control.

The main attribute players will want to focus on with the MG42 loadout is recoil control. While damage range will also be addressed, players should ensure that they equip the right attachments to make the weapon a virtual laser beam when firing. All of this is paired nicely with a huge magazine that lets players rain down fire for several seconds if they wish.

  • Muzzle: F8 Stabilizer
  • Barrel: VDD 980mm 34M Luftschutz
  • Optic: G16 2.5x
  • Stock: VDD 64M
  • Underbarrel: m1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: 6.5 Sakura 125 Round Drums
  • Ammunition: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
  • Perk: Tight Grip
  • Perk 2: Fully Loaded

Mobility is somewhat thrown to the wind in this loadout. The VDD 980mm 34M Luftschutz barrel decreases all mobility stats in exchange for far better control and added flinch resistance. The same goes for the F8 Stabilizer, which adds extra damage range and accuracy while lowering sprint-to-fire speed. The M1941 Hand Stop, Stippled Grip and VDD 64M stock all do the same as well.

The last elements of this loadout are the 6.5 Sakura 125 Round Drums, for more ammo capacity and superior recoil control, and the Tight Grip perk for another boost to accuracy. This MG42 loadout won’t move an inch when firing and it kills enemies shockingly quickly in Warzone Pacific.
