The best LMG to use in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3

The best LMG in Warzone has been ever-changing

The LMG category in Call of Duty: Warzone is one of the most underused in the game. Despite seeing meta-wide popularity in the early seasons of Warzone, it’s dropped off tremendously in recent seasons. However, players that want to dive into the weapon class need to know the options for the best LMG.

Unlike other categories, there aren’t too many contenders for the LMG “best in class.” The way that most see it, the race is between two weapons: the Stoner 63 and Bruen MK9. Both weapons are viable in their own way, as their loadouts show. But, in Season 3, the Stoner 63 is simply more advantageous than the Bruen.

Best LMG in Warzone

When the Bruen MK9 was introduced, it skyrocketed to the top of the meta in Warzone. It had unparalleled damage and mobility for an LMG, making assault rifles look like second-rate weapons. However, after a series of nerfs, it’s now an afterthought in most players’ minds.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that it’s not viable. Its recommended loadout is actually quite deadly, featuring great damage and accuracy. However, it doesn’t edge out the Stoner 63, which is simply an all-around better weapon in Season 3.

The Stoner’s redeeming quality over other LMGs is its superior accuracy and damage range. It requires very little gun skill to use effectively, which only adds to its status as the best in class. One aspect that players will need to adjust for, though, is the Stoner 63’s less-than-desirable handling. It feels rather clunky at times and takes some time to get used to when sprinting.

Luckily, there are attachments to improve this area. An underbarrel like the SFOD Speedgrip really helps the Stoner match up to other LMGs. Paied with the Stoner’s superior base damage range and accuracy, players are looking at the best LMG in Warzone.
