Early on in the life cycle of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the marksman rifle class has been dominated by two weapons.
The SA-B 50 and the SP-R 208 have been two of the most popular guns in the game, let alone in their respective class. This is primarily because of the quickscoping prowess that both guns possess. Players have thoroughly enjoyed rushing around the map and quickscoping enemies with the two snipers. However, some players might be more attracted to other marksman rifles, such as the LM-S, which has an underrated loadout in Modern Warfare 2.
The LM-S differs from the SA-B and SP-R in that it is not a bolt-action rifle. Instead, it’s a semi-automatic gun, similar to that of the TAQ-M or EBR-14. This means that its time-to-kill is lower than the two bolt-action rifles, but it can more reliably kill enemies as long as players are accurate with their shots. The LM-S can one-shot headshot players at most ranges, so if players can aim for the head and hit the shot, they have a monster of a weapon on their hands.
However, the LM-S requires specific attachments to become that monster.
Best LM-S loadout in Modern Warfare 2
The biggest stat we’re going to be improving with the LM-S’ loadout is recoil control. Since players will be firing quickly with the gun, they need to ensure they can maintain its recoil. We’ll also be upping damage range and mobility to make for a well-rounded loadout.

- Stock: FT Mobile Stock
- Rear Grip:Â Lachmann TCG-10
We begin with the Polarfire-S suppressor, which increases damage range, bullet velocity, and recoil control at the cost of mobility. That mobility is made up with the FT Mobile Stock, though. The Lachmann TCG-10 rear grip and FSS Sharkfin 90 provide even more of an improvement to recoil control and aiming stability. Finally, there’s the SZ Lonewolf Optic, which is perfect for mid-long range gunfights.
