For the past several months, Call of Duty: Warzone has been dominated by non-automatic assault rifles. From the DMR 14 to the AUG, there’s seemingly always a non-auto rifle that pops up in the killfeed more than any other weapon. While it’s not as popular as the two aforementioned, the FR 5.56 might just be the next weapon in this line.
As the days of Season 2 begin to wane, YouTuber JGOD has discovered a crazy loadout for the FR 5.56. He discussed the loadout in a new video and now it seems a large chunk of the community is discovering just how overpowered the weapon can be.
Now, thanks to this newly formed loadout, the FR 5.56 might be considered one of the top weapons in Warzone.
Best FR 5.56 loadout in Warzone
With over 500,000 views and climbing, JGOD’s FR 5.56 loadout video is quickly spreading. Warzone players shouldn’t be surprised if the Modern Warfare rifle starts to appear more and more in Season 2 matches.
The new loadout isn’t the traditional way to use the FR 5.56. Instead, it utilizes a single-shot attachment in lieu of the natural three-round burst. The attachments around this maximize the weapon’s time to kill, making it one of the better guns to use in Warzone currently.
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: FR 24.4″ Sniper
- Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Ammunition: 50 Round Mags
The loadout begins with normal attachments; the Monolithic Suppressor, Commando Foregrip and 50 Round Mags are standard for most ARs in Warzone. However, the loadout strays off from the beaten path with the FR 24.4″ Sniper barrel.
This attachment turns the FR 5.56 into a single-shot rifle. According to JGOD, players need to hit four 64-damage shots to the head in order to kill an armored enemy in Warzone. The damage for each non-headshot is 40, which puts the most shots to kill an armored enemy at seven. If players have a semi-quick trigger finger and decent accuracy, four to seven shots to kill is no trouble whatsoever.
In fact, this puts this FR 5.56 into AUG/M16 time to kill. While the recoil of this loadout is a bit strong at long-range, players should be able to figure out the recoil pattern with enough time.
It’s not as broken as the DMR 14 was, but this semi-automatic rifle will mow down enemies in Warzone.
