The best DP27 loadout in Call of Duty: Vanguard post-launch

A weapon that needs some more love in Vanguard
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information

Some weapons in Call of Duty: Vanguard need a specific loadout in order to be stronger than their base version. The DP27 light machine gun is not one of these weapons, as it can dominate enemies without any attachments on it. The gun has almost no recoil when players first equip it and can down enemies in three bullets at most ranges. Of course, with the DP27’s recommended loadout, players can increase their success with it by a wide margin in Vanguard.

Known as the pancake gun, thanks to its magazine, the DP27 hasn’t seen a ton of use in Vanguard so far. Players are either sticking with the popular assault rifles and submachine guns or they’re using other LMGs. When the DP27’s top loadout gets spread around more, though, that should change in a major way.

There aren’t a ton of downsides to using the DP27 in Vanguard. It has great recoil control, a high damage range and decent mobility for a gun of its size. Players will still struggle to move around the map and match the speed of other guns, but they won’t be at a huge disadvantage if they want to rush around.

  • Muzzle: Mercury Silencer
  • Barrel: Kovalevskaya 604MM
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: ZAC S2M
  • Underbarrel: Mark IV Skeletal
  • Magazine: 7.62x54MMR 105 Round Pans
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
  • Proficiency: Sleight of Hand
  • Kit: Fully Loaded

At the heart of this DP27 loadout are attachments to increase mobility, more than anything. With the gun’s damage range and recoil control being so strong out of the gate, players can worry more about getting around the map quicker. This is done through the ZAC S2M, Mark IV Skeletal and Fabric Grip, which all increase ADS/sprint-to-fire speed.

The other attachments on the loadout help further increase damage range and recoil control. Bullet velocity is also boosted, especially with the Kovalevskaya 604MM barrel and Lengthened Ammo Type. Players will be pleasantly surprised if they decide to throw on this DP27 loadout in Vanguard.
