The CR-56 AMAX is once again back in the meta of Call of Duty: Warzone. Thanks to a sizeable buff in the Season 5 Reloaded update, players can now use the CR-56 AMAX competitively with other top assault rifles. Raven Software decided to buff the AMAX’s damage range and damage multiplier, meaning players can kill enemies faster. While veterans might know the best attachments to use on the CR-56 AMAX and get the most out of it, new players likely need to see its best loadout in Warzone.
Any player that’s used the CR-56 AMAX will know just how strong it can be. The only problem with it previously was that other assault rifles could outpace it at medium-long ranges. With its new buff, the AMAX is on par with guns like the Cooper Carbine and STG44 in Warzone. However, players will still need to use its best loadout to ensure they can get the most out of the CR-56 AMAX in Warzone.

Best CR-56 AMAX loadout in Warzone
Since Modern Warfare is so old at this point, there are only a few attachments that have survived the test of time and stayed firmly within the meta. Those attachments are what make up the AMAX’s loadout, even two years after it was first introduced in Warzone.
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: Tempus 26.4″ Archangel
- Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Ammunition: 45 Round Mags
This is as basic as loadouts come in Warzone, at least for Modern Warfare rifles. Damage range, recoil control, and bullet velocity are all increased with this loadout. Players also get a more zoomed-in scope with the VLK 3.0x Optic and a larger magazine with the 45 Round Mags. It’s tough to beat this classic CR-56 AMAX loadout, especially with this current version of Warzone winding down.
