The Chimera arrived in the Season 1 Reloaded update in Call of Duty: Warzone. At the time, it wasn’t seen as a meta weapon, especially with so many other strong guns to contend with. Unfortunately for the Chimera, nothing has really changed in Season 6, as there are still stronger guns at both close and long-range. However, the Chimera can still be a solid assault rifle with the right loadout in Warzone.
In order for the Chimera to be viable as a meta assault rifle in Warzone, it will need stronger attachments than the ones that are unlocked early on. Players need to make the Chimera into a long-range threat that can deal with the likes of the Kastov 762 and TR-76 Geist.

Best Chimera loadout in Warzone
The Chimera has an integrated suppressor, meaning it doesn’t really need a muzzle and is seen as a more mobile assault rifle. With this in mind, I have crafted the Chimera’s loadout to be an aggressive and fast AR that’s capable of taking on SMGs at close range.
- Laser: VLK LZR 7mW
- Optic: Aim OP-V4
- Stock: Ravage-8
- Magazine: 45 Round Mag
- Rear Grip: Bruen Flash Grip
Nearly every attachment on this loadout is meant to increase the Chimera’s aim down sight speed and sprint-to-fire time. The 45 Round Mag reduces these stats but gives players an extra 15 bullets in each clip. For the optic, I’ve gone with the classic Aim OP-V4, which is perfect for mid-range engagements in Warzone.
The VLk LZR 7mW laser and Ravage-8 stock both give the Chimera a massive boost in mobility, as does the Bruen Flash Grip. While the Chimera can still excel at long range, this loadout is best served at closer ranges, as it might get outgunned by some of the longer range meta weapons in Warzone.
