Two assault rifles in Call of Duty: Vanguard have risen to the top: the STG44 and Automaton. Both rifles have incredible fire rates, damage range and recoil control when paired with excellent loadouts. Overall, these are the two best ARs currently in multiplayer. However, there’s a vastly underused rifle present in Vanguard that can actually kill faster than either of those weapons. That weapon is the BAR and it has an extremely high-potential loadout in Vanguard.
The BAR is a fully-automatic assault rifle that has a slower fire rate in exchange for better accuracy and damage. While the gun’s top loadout doesn’t truly address its fire rate, it does turn the BAR into a two-shot killing monster. Here, players can see the loadout that actually got banned on websites that host competitive matches, like MLG GameBattles.
Best BAR loadout in Vanguard
With the right attachments, the BAR is among the best weapons in Vanguard. It’s considered overpowered in this state but takes some time to acquire since the featured attachments are at high weapon levels. Once players start ranking up the BAR, though, players will see just how strong it can be.
- Muzzle: G28 Compensator
- Barrel: CGC 30 XL
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: Chariot WR
- Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
- Magazine: .50 BMG 20 Round Mags
- Ammo Type: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Pine Tar Grip
- Proficiency: Hardscope
- Kit: Fully Loaded
This loadout prioritizes damage range and recoil control over mobility in every way. The most important attachments in the loadout consisting of the .50 BMG 20 Round Mags, Chariot WR stock and CGC 30 XL barrel. The latter two attachments vastly increase recoil control, accuracy and flinch resistance while the magazine improves damage range significantly. The magazine is the reason why the BAR can two-shot kill enemies with the rest of the attachments.
The other attachments on the loadout improve recoil and accuracy as well. Players might want to try out this specific BAR loadout before developer Sledgehammer Games possibly nerfs it in Vanguard.
