There were dozens of weapons buffed in the Season 4 update of Call of Duty: Warzone. While some were meta-altering buffs and nerfs, others were relatively small. One weapon that received a smaller buff is the AS44 assault rifle from Vanguard. Although the AS44 didn’t receive the biggest buff in the world, some of its main attachments did receive some changes to make it slightly stronger. As a result, the AS44 and its best loadout are now considered to be viable in Season 4 of Warzone.
One of the biggest selling points for the AS44 in Season 4 is its fire rate; the rifle has a top-of-the-line fire rate for an AR and can mow enemies down in close to medium range. This is great for players who are trying to play on the new Fortune’s Keep map, which was introduced at the start of Season 4. Fortune’s Keep is a fairly small map, about the same dimensions as Rebirth Island, so players will find themselves in plenty of close-range gunfights. With the AS44, players can use it to challenge SMGs up close but also deal with other ARs at longer ranges thanks to the gun’s recommended loadout.

Best AS44 loadout in Warzone

The two attachments that players will want to pay attention to on the loadout are the Kovalevskaya 615mm barrel and 7.62 Gorenko 50-round mags. Both of these attachments were buffed on the AS44 in Season 4; the barrel saw an increase in its vertical recoil control, which helps out tremendously as the AS44 has a fair amount of kick, and the mags had their muzzle velocity increased. The mags also saw its damage penalty removed, but the damage range was slightly reduced to coincide with that.
All in all, this AS44 loadout can shred at close to medium range in Warzone but there are definitely stronger overall ARs to use in Season 4 as of right now.
