Team Vitality has announced new rosters for the upcoming League of Legends European Champion (LEC) and Ligue Française de League of Legends (LFL) Summer Splits. The French esports organization has gone through an intense selection process with three weeks of tryouts, interviews, and psychological tests as it hopes to bounce back after a disappointing performance during the past season.

Team Vitality roster changes

Fabien “Neo” Devide, president & co-founder of Team Vitality, commented:

Team Vitality is fully dedicated to forging the best esports athletes in the world and it was clear following the LEC Spring Split that changes needed to be made to ensure our players can reach their full potential. We have undertaken a rigorous selection process to source the best possible rosters and to secure new international talent, and we look forward to seeing how the new teams will perform together.

Team Vitality has welcomed former BIG support player Labros “labrov” Papoutsakis. The team has replaced mid laner Marcin “Selfie” Wolski with Aljoša “Milica” Kovandžić. In addition, Vitality Bee jungler Cantoursna “Nji” An has been promoted to the main roster. These three will compete alongside top laner Lucas “Cabochard” Simon-Meslet, AD carry Markos “Comp” Stamkopoulos, and substitute support player Jakub “Jactroll” Skurzyński.

Hadrien “Duke” Forestier will serve as the head coach, along with Louis-Victor “Mephisto” Legendre as an assistant coach and Dennis “Leggifant” Hennersdorf as team manager. Former Team Vitality jungler Duncan “Skeanz” Marquet and support Pierre “Steeelback” Medjaldi have been moved to Vitality Bee, where they will help cultivate the next generation of talent.

Rebounding from 2020 Spring Split

Nevertheless, these were urgently needed roster changes with the organization’s lackluster results during the 2020 Spring Split. Team Vitality has a history of bottom-half bracket placements. However, this was the first split that the team finished last with 2 wins and 16 losses. The French roster didn’t pick up a single win until Week 5 against second-to-last team SK Gaming.

Even though the results were not great, the team did manage to score a win in its last match of the LEC Spring Split against the second-seeded Fnatic. With fresh faces on the lineup, Team Vitality has plenty of time during the offseason to get back on track.
