In a new blog post, esports organization Team Liquid (TL) revealed the signing of two new professional Hearthstone players. Ryan “Purple” Murphy-Root and Raphael “Bunnyhoppor” Peltzer are competing in Hearthstone Grandmasters. Besides this, the two new members of TL will compete at the Masters Tour Arlington this weekend.

The new additions to Team Liquid are among the best players that are currently competing in Hearthstone. Purple has competed in Hearthstone Grandmasters Americas for the last two seasons, finishing 2nd place in both leagues. Besides his performance in Hearthstone Grandmasters, Purple’s most significant success recently was back in March 2019. He got the opportunity to compete at the World Electronic Sports Games 2018, where he won the title and $100,000.
Bunnyhoppor, on the other hand, has had a more difficult time in Hearthstone Grandmasters Europe. He managed to only reach 6th and 8th places in the first two seasons of the league. However, Bunnyhoppor did manage to win the Lion King Invitational back in November. Bunnyhoppor had to play the finals against none other than Casper “Hunterace” Notto, who is considered the best Hearthstone player in the world.
Team Liquid’s past in the Hearthstone scene
Team Liquid has been a part of the Hearthstone scene since its very beginning. Back in 2014, TL had contracted several players to compete and stream the game. Jason “Amaz” Chan got his start with the organization in June 2014. He left shortly after, however, to pursue creating his esports organization, Team Archon.
The other players of the TL Hearthstone team in 2014 included Janne “Savjz” Mikkonen and Eugene “Neirea” Shumilin. Both Savjz and Neirea went on to pursue their careers on Twitch throughout the years. TL has been inv0lved with the scene ever since. Many players and streamers who started with TL have since gone on to do great things. Included in this list are David “Dog” Caero, and Jeffrey “Sjow” Brusi, who are among the top streamers on the Twitch platform.
There is no doubt that the new players for Team Liquid will go on to do great things. For more roster changes in the Hearthstone scene, be sure to read all about Hunterace and Jarla re-signing with the Nordavind DNB organization.
