Team Liquid reveals Marvel Entertainment collaboration

North American esports organization Team Liquid announced a collaboration with Marvel Entertainment for the 2019 Rift Rivals tournament. This partnership will feature limited-edition jerseys that the team will wear during the competition. The 2019 Rift Rivals tournament is an international event that pits the best North American and European League of Legends teams against one another. The event runs between June 27 and 29.

Team Liquid x Marvel Entertainment

“The First Avenger – and the best possible fit for TeamLiquid fans as the championship team fights for the glory of North America,” wrote Marvel Games on Twitter, while featuring an image of the Team Liquid League of Legends team in matching jerseys. “Show your support and get your own Team Liquid x Marvel Captain America jersey.”

While the League of Legends team is sporting limited edition Captain America-themed jerseys, there are also other versions available. In the YouTube video displayed above, Yiliang “Peter” Peng wears an Iron Man-themed jersey with the iconic red and gold color scheme and a “fully sublimated MK 85” inspired design. There is also a Quantum Realm jersey with the Realm suit color scheme as shown in Avengers: Endgame. A T-shirt is also up for purchase, featuring half of the Team Liquid logo and the other half with the Marvel logo.

Rift Rivals 2019

Team Liquid, Team SoloMid, and Cloud9 represent North America in 2019’s Rift Rivals tournament. G2 Esports, Origen, and Fnatic Gaming are on the European side. These are the top 3 teams in the LCS and LEC. So far, the teams on the European side have 6 wins and 3 losses. Team Liquid has two wins, Team SoloMid has one win, and Cloud9 has lost all of their games.
