Team Heretics sign former G2 players ardiis and paTiTek

The First Strike: Europe winners revamp their roster ahead of VCT Stage 3

Team Heretics have filled the void caused by recent departures by signing former G2 players Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks and Patryk “paTiTek” Fabrowski. The organization announced the acquisition of 16 year old OndÅ™ej “MONSTEERR” Petrů from LDN UTD Thursday as well. The roster is now one player short of a full team.

G2 and Heretics have swapped players over the past few days. Former Heretics players Žygimantas “nukkye” Chmieliauskas and Auni “AvovA” Chahade joined G2 on Wednesday. Neither team has made much headway in the VALORANT Champions Tour, though.

Each had moments in the lead up to the VCT Challengers and Masters tournaments, but nothing substantial. G2 had been the early kings of European VALORANT after racking up Ignition Series trophies throughout 2020 with paTiTek and ardiis on the roster.

Team Heretics were relatively unknown in the VALORANT scene before taking the title in the final event of 2020, First Strike: Europe. Since then, G2 has fallen to the wayside in the scene. Team Heretics also managed a Stage 1 Masters grand final berth, but lost 3-2 to Acend. Both teams have reloaded their rosters for VCT Stage 3 for a shot at Masters 3 in Berlin.

Ardiis and paTiTek before Team Heretics

Before G2 and their newest venture on Heretics, ardiis and paTiTek were Counter-Strike players. Ardiis started in 2017 and played mainly in lower tier tournaments before he retirement and move to VALORANT. PaTiTek was banned from Valve-sponsored events in 2015 due to a Valve anti-cheat ban on his account. He competed in smaller non-Valve events before moving to VALORANT.

Once competing in VALORANT, both joined early amateur rosters and stood out quickly. On Fish123, ardiis became an instant standout alongside current Team Liquid players Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom and Dom “soulcas” Sulcas. He left the squad in July of 2020 to join the emerging super team of G2.

PaTiTek started his VALORANT career on the Polish squad Fordon Boars, going as far to declare himself as a top 5 player in Europe in the early days of competition.

Both players will play for the first time under the Team Heretics banner in VCT events starting later this summer.
