Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection getting platform wide patch

It looks like the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will be receiving a patch for all versions across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Slated for October 23, 2018, unfortunately this patch does not address the game’s biggest issue – its sub par online functionality – but it will fix some small UI issues and minor bug fixes. Hopefully, Capcom is able to salvage the game’s online play, because as great as it is to play offline, without a stable online player base, it is only a matter of time before the game is left by the wayside. Which would be extremely unfortunate, considering it has some of the best fighting games ever made within it. The patch notes, courtesy of the Capcom Unity blog, are as follows:

Nintendo Switch:

  • Improving online capabilities and ability to host lobbies
  • Friends between the Japanese and international versions can locate one another’s lobbies
  • General fixes

Localization Fixes:

  • Updated Japanese strings
  • Corrections to Korean Photosensitivity Warning

Training Mode Improvements: Multiple fixes have been made to improve dummy behavior.

Audio Improvements: Stereo playback improvements for Street Fighter III titles.

Museum Updates: Text and asset corrections have been applied.
