Denis “denis” Howell has taken his talents to Berlin International Gaming, according to an announcement by the team earlier today.
Prior to his jump to BIG, denis was a longtime member of Sprout, having been with the team since its formation in December 2017. During his tenure with Sprout, denis helped push the team to strong placements, including second-place finishes at Charleroi Esports 2019 and Copenhagen Games 2019 last month.
“I am insanely proud and happy to announce that BIG gives me a chance to prove myself and show the world what I learned throughout all this time,” wrote denis in a personal TwitLonger.
“I will now join older friends I worked with since the beginning of my professional career,” said denis. The rifler has plenty of experience working with BIG’s in-game leader, Fatih “gob b” Dayik; both played under the umbrella of mousesports in 2015.
Denis will replace Johannes “nex” Maget on BIG’s roster. Nex, a founding member of BIG, will occupy their bench as he recovers from ongoing wrist issues. “Last but not least all the best to nex, my former longtime roommate. I wish you a healthy recovery,” wrote denis.
Denis’ first game with BIG will be on May 21, against Heroic in stage two of ESL Pro League season nine.
