Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke and Jakob “JUGi” Hansen will soon become the newest additions to Cloud9’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team, according to Danish CS website Dust2.

This news comes after a recent report on Dexerto indicating that Cloud9 rifler Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey would soon be leaving the organization following disappointing results at the IEM Katowice Major. At the Polish event, Cloud9 placed ninth—within the money, but far beneath rivals such as Astralis and Team Liquid.

Though Cloud9 haven’t yet made an official announcement about the roster change, they’ll have to go public with it soon, since the ESL Pro League roster lock deadline is coming later today. This is only the latest shake-up in Cloud9’s roster. When their in-game leader Maikil “Golden” Selim temporarily stepped back from competition due to health problems earlier this year, the team briefly signed Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro to fill his shoes, but the rifler left the team on March 4.

Both JUGi and k0nfig are currently members of OpTic Gaming’s CS:GO squad and are coming off of a relatively impressive fifth-place finish at World Electronic Sports Games 2018 Grand Final. While the Danish players would be a much-needed infusion of new talent for the Cloud9 roster, their departure would be a concerning portent for OpTic Gaming’s future.
