The bot laner returns to the team after a year with Vitality.Bee

Team Vitality and GamersOrigin have reached a verbal agreement for the transfer of the player Ludvig Erik Hugo “SMILEY” Granquist for the 2022 season. The player will compete in Ligue Française de League of Legends 2022, sources told Upcomer on Monday.

The Swedish player started competing at the age of 17, passing through major European Regional League clubs, including KIYF eSports Club, Ninjas in Pyjamas and G2 Heretics (G2 academy before merging with Artic). The player also competed for a year and six months with GamersOrigin, the team the botlaner will play for again next year. This 2021 season he competed with the Vitality’s academy team, Vitality.Bee.

Vitality.Bee finished third in their two splits in the French league in 2021, a sufficient position to be able to compete the play-in portion of the European Masters tournament. Although, the team could not qualify for the main event on both occasions.

GamersOrigin was seventh in the LFL, thus the French organization was out of the playoffs of the competition in both splits.

SMILEY himself has made it to EU Masters five times across three different teams. His farthest run into the tournament was with NiP in the 2018 summer split where he placed second, having lost to MAD Lions E.C. 0-3 in the final. Before his run with Vitality.Bee, SMILEY made top eight at the tournament on GamersOrigen, losing out in the quarterfinals both times.
