Mid laner Jesse “Chazz” Mahoney has signed with mCon LG UltraGear, sources told Upcomer on Friday. The former Pentanet.GG mid laner will play in the Elite Series.

Chazz’s former team, Pentanet.GG, is an organization League of Legends fans may know of thanks to their 2021 Mid-Season Invitational performance. His team managed to reach top six at the tournament — a result against all odds considering the Oceanic Pro League was shut down at the end of 2020. Chazz was still able to represent Oceania well on the international stage.

The Australian mid laner will now play for mCon, an organization competing in the Benelux region’s European Regional League, the Elite Series. This spring, two Elite Series teams qualified to the European Masters play-ins, though neither made it to the next round.

This isn’t the first time that a player from Oceania has moved to Europe in order to play in ERLs. Jungler Jackson “Pabu” Pavone did the same for 2022 when he signed with Berlin International Gaming. Pabu played for the same Pentanet.GG roster with Chazz back in 2021.

By joining mCon, Chazz will be replacing mid laner Brayan “Kruimel” van Oosten, whose next destination is unknown.
