Giants plan to sign bot laner Tim “Keduii” Willers and support Henk “Advienne” Reijenga, sources told Upcomer. Giants, who compete in the SuperLiga, have already reached a buyout agreement with Excel Esports and Berlin International Gaming.
While starting this spring split with Excel Esports, Advienne ended up being benched after two weeks of play after the team bought out support Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle from G2 Esports. Advienne wrote a TwitLonger about this situation following the change. Several teams have since then expressed interest in the Dutch support player. He will replace Paul “Stend” Lardin on Giants.
Keduii, meanwhile, comes to the team from Berlin International Gaming. The German bot laner has also seen a massive amount of interest, as almost any ERL team seeking a bot lane change expressed interested. Keduii has also gathered interested from LEC teams previously. Sources said he was one of G2 Esports’ tryouts in late 2021 before their decision to commit to Victor “Flakked” Lirola. On Giants, Keduii will replace bot laner Amadeu “Attila” Carvalho, whose next destination is unknown.
An iconic Spanish organization
Giants are an organization with a great deal of history in Europe, as they used to play in the European League of Legends Championship Series. They couldn’t make it into the LEC during the 2019 transition following a decision to franchise the league.
Keduii and Advienne will unite in the bot lane with Giants, who are actively looking to further improve their roster by considering options in jungle and mid lane. This follows a disappointing spring split where the team failed to reach the playoffs. They finished the split seventh place with a record of 8-10. Last year Giants won the LVP SuperLiga 2021 Summer Playoffs.
Giants are one of the ERL teams to keep an eye on this offseason as they are expected to continue making changes.
