According to an exclusive tip acquired by Upcomer, both Jake and Logan Paul will soon join the roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as the platform fighter’s newest DLC characters.
It’s the latest in a series of public relations moves undertaken by the YouTubers after Logan Paul infamously disrespected Japanese culture by filming his 2017 excursion to the Aokigahara “suicide forest” in Japan’s Yamanashi Prefecture.
“Super Smash is pretty much my favorite thing that’s ever come out of Japan,” Logan Paul said in a statement to Upcomer. “So when my agent told me I could appear in the game, it was an automatic yes from me.”

According to early renders leaked by the hacker 4chan, Jake Paul will be available as an “echo fighter” version of Logan, with both characters’ models based on the gear worn by Logan Paul during his famous boxing match against KSI last year. Additionally, users who preorder the characters before their official release in May will unlock exclusive Goku, Batman, and “banana hammock” skins.
Both Logan and Jake will be also playable in a consolidated form known as the “Paul Brothers,” an Ice Climbers-esque puppet character allowing desynchronization technology, boosted damage, and absolutely insufferable team combos. This form can be unlocked by double-tapping Logan Paul’s icon and whispering “Logang Paulers unite” into the Nintendo Switch’s built-in microphone.
Stay tuned for updates as more information about the Paul brothers’ debut in Smash comes to light. And for those understandably skeptical about this announcement: Don’t worry, you can trust us. Our dad works for Nintendo.
