Rocket Pass 5: Anime-inspired goodies coming to Rocket League

Rocket Pass 5 coming Dec. 4

On Dec. 4 the Blueprint update will go live. Along with it, ranked season 12 will come to an end (You’ll definitely want those sweet season 12 rewards, by the way.) and Rocket Pass 5 will take over from the fourth iteration, which ends the day before. As usual, there will be 70 tiers and the Chikara Battle-Car will have three versions, which upgrades at tiers one, 25, and 70. After reaching the maximum tier, painted and special edition items will begin to drop with every tier, which are also tradable.

Whereas the previous iterations of the Rocket Pass were bought with keys, they will now be available for credits, which also come with the update. Your current keys will magically turn into credits (100 per key), while your crates are reforged into blueprints of specific items from those crates, so you know exactly what you’ll get should you use your credits to unlock them. The Rocket Pass itself also rewards a total of 1000 credits throughout its tiers, which is the equivalent of just below $10. (1100 credits is $9.99.) Additionally, just like last year, you can buy a 12-tier head start at a discounted 2000 credits.

RNG begone! Item shop incoming

With the blueprint update also comes the introduction of the item shop. With a 24 and 48-hour cycle, the shop will offer a variety of items such as legacy items from past crates, as well as new items such as the Titanium White Dominus. Credits will also be used to buy items from here, and these items will be bound to your account when purchased and cannot be traded. But while credits will be used across most of the game’s systems, the esports shop will keep its unique esports tokens to purchase items with.
