Riot Games announced donation opportunities for the Riot Games Social Impact Fund through the Sentinels of Light event.
The Riot Games Social Impact Fund is a unique philanthropic venture fund that allows Riot Games to make direct investments in various global organizations. Its goal is to solve some of the world’s most pressing social issues. Over the last few years, players have donated over $15 million to more than 25 different causes around the globe.
Recently, Riot Games announced the Give Back Bundle for its FPS title VALORANT. The Give Back Bundle was a fan-voted weapon skin bundle aimed at the Social Impact Fund. Its purpose was to give players a chance at purchasing some of the most popular skins in the game in one bundle while donating to a good cause. Now with the Sentinels of Light event on the horizon, another opportunity has arisen to donate. Donation opportunities will be available across League of Legends, Wild Rift, Legend of Runeterra and Teamfight Tactics.
How to donate to the Social Impact Fund
Throughout the Sentinels of Light event, players will have multiple ways to support local nonprofits and their communities. Riot Games is committing $1 million to the Social Impact Fund and is inviting players to join in. Players will have the opportunity to nominate a nonprofit or cause area for grant funding through the Social Impact Fund.
How can you get involved?
Riot Games is offering another charity bundle which can be purchased through the League of Legends client. Similar to the Give Back Bundle for VALORANT, the profits will be going to the fund. Players can also get involved by completing in-game challenges. These challenges will be offered for three Riot Games titles through their respective clients. Legends of Runeterra, League of Legends: Wild Rift and Teamfight Tactics will all game in-game challenges to complete.
