According to a new report from CDL Intel, the London Royal Ravens supposedly have their potential 2022 roster set. While nothing is official as of yet, London is reportedly eyeing the trio of Trei “Zer0” Morris, Byron “Nastie” Plumridge and Joey “Gismo” Evans. This news confirms the rumor that London is looking to field a roster of European amateur players, which Upcomer previously reported as well.
Earlier in the off-season, London announced the release of most of its roster from 2021. This included rookie phenom Paul “PaulEhx” Avila, Zach “Zed” Denyer and Sean “Seany” O’Connor. The Ravens left Marcus “Afro” Reid on the roster, however, with the hope that they can build around him. It seems that building is starting with the recent report about London’s possible targets for the 2022 season.
Three European players potentially joining the London Royal Ravens
If this potential roster comes to fruition, it’s a homecoming for two out of the three players. Zer0 and Nastie were both on London’s roster in 2020, with Zer0 also technically playing for London in 2021 as well. He never actually appeared for the Ravens, though, as visa issues kept him in Europe past the start of the season. This resulted in London playing with fill-ins like Chris “Parasite” Duarte.
Nastie faced similar issues in 2020. He was signed to the London roster with the intention of starting, the team even moved Rhys “Rated” Price to the bench. Once again, though, visa issues kept him from appearing in a match with the Ravens. He eventually moved to the London Royal Ravens Academy team and never received another promotion to the starting roster.
Gismo, on the other hand, has never been on a professional Call of Duty team. However, he’s considered one of the top European amateur players. He cemented his status as a top amateur by winning the Challengers 2021 EU Finals along with Nastie on The Atlas Lions.
If this rumored roster comes together, it could be quite exciting to watch. The roles could potentially be Zer0 and Gismo on AR/Flex and Afro and Nastie as the SMG duo.
Call of Duty League teams can begin announcing their signings on Sept. 5. Upcomer will be tracking all of the moves made over the course of the next few days.
