Pokémon GO has just announced that it will introduce the GO Battle League leaderboard, allowing players to see who the top players in the world are. On Friday, April 10, players will be able to see the GO Battle League leaderboard on PokemonGOLive.com.
To celebrate the launch of the GO Battle League leaderboard, Pokémon GO will host GO Battle Day: Marill on April 12. Between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. local time, Marill will appear as a basic reward after the first and third wins in the GO Battle League. Catching Marill will grant double Stardust.
On GO Battle Day: Marill, from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time, players will be able to complete 20 sets of GO Battle League battles. That’s up from the regular 5 sets, making for a total of up to 100 battles. This will make it easier to earn rare rewards.
The GO Battle leaderboard
The GO Battle leaderboard will show the top 500 players in the world. It will provide info on their teams, their ranks, and how many matches they’ve played. This leaderboard will also update every day between approximately 8:00 p.m. UTC and 10:00 p.m. UTC. Players who have had disciplinary action taken against their account will not be displayed on the leaderboard.
This should be a great opportunity for players to showcase their talents in Pokémon GO. Players hoping to climb higher can also use the leaderboard to check out the top teams. This should give them a better idea of what works and what doesn’t.
Why Marill for Battle Day?
Marill’s evolution, Azumarill, is one of the most popular picks in the Great League. It’s a Water/Fairy-type with a lot of health and three great moves to give it coverage. A standard Azumarill set will have Bubble as its fast move and Ice Beam and Play Rough as its charge moves. Bubble does a decent amount of damage and charges these moves quickly.
It can be difficult to level Azumarill up to close to 1500 CP, however, and it takes a lot of Marill Candy and Stardust. This event should help players obtain the resources they need to get a competitive Azumarill.
