Philadelphia Fusion trade Fragi for Kyb

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

We reported last week that a “hidden trade” was taking place in the Overwatch League, but now it’s official. North American esports organization Philadelphia Fusion have officially announced they have traded Joona “fragi” Laine over to the Guangzhou Charge. Fragi joins the Chinese team in exchange for DPS player Finley “Kyb” Adisi. This trade coincides with another new player to the GZ Charge, Hyung-seok “Bischu/Aaron” Kim. Bischu joins the Overwatch team from his previous role on the Los Angeles Gladiators.

Fragi joins Guangzhou Charge

Fragi is a Finnish Overwatch player, so it comes as a surprise that he will be playing on Guangzhou Charge. The team has 7 Korean players, 2 Chinese players, and 1 other American player. One would think that communication would be difficult with this type of setup, but we’ll see how it plays out in practice. Before joining Guangzhou Charge, Fragi played for teams like Ninjas in Pyjamas and European Team Gigantti. He most commonly plays the Tank role with heroes like Reinhardt and Winston.

Kyb joins Philadelphia Fusion

Kyb, on the other hand, is a British player who got his start in competitive Overwatch on teams like ReUnited, Laser Kittenz, and the British Hurricane. He has played on heroes like Genji, Roadhog, Brigitte, Sombra, and Hanzo. He’s also a much younger Overwatch player when compared to Fragi, who is in his late 20’s. Kyb joins Josh “EQO” Corona and Lee “Carpe” Jae-hyeok as a Fusion DPS player.

Currently, the Philadelphia Fusion sits at 12 wins and 9 losses in the overall Season League Standings. The Guangzhou Charge, on the other hand, has 9 wins and 12 losses. Stage 4 will take place between July 25 and August 25.

With the Philadelphia Fusion placing Fragi in an inactive role this past season, this is great news for both sides. Philadelphia Fusion and Guangzhou Charge play their first match on July 25 against each other. What do you think about Kyb joining the Philadelphia Fusion?
