ASUS Republic of Gamers is offering PAX Aus attendees the chance to play at Dreamhack next year.
Do you have what it takes to be the best CS:GO player in Australia? Want to compete at Dreamhack 2019? Or maybe you want the chance to play against the pros? Either way, ASUS Republic of Gamers has got you covered. At PAX Aus next week, a special opportunity is up for grabs. Players can compete in a “Join the Republic” (JTR) CS:GO tournament. Selected players will become a member of Team Australia. PAX Aus 2017 featured a similar JTR competition. It gives aspiring pros a taste of competitive esports. The tournament offers players the chance to represent Australia in the JTR Global Finals at DreamHack 2019. The team already consists of Chad “SPUNJ” Burchill, captain and Australian caster.

The tournament is open to all PAX attendees over 16 years old. The Team Australia roster will be unveiled on the final day of PAX at the booth.
Dreamhack
Dreamhack is one of the biggest gaming events in the world, featuring LAN events, esports, cosplay, community tournaments, and more. It’s a gamer’s dream. In 2018, Dreamhack events have been run at Montreal, Stockholm, Spain, Sweden, Texas, France, Canada, and Germany. Georgia and India are still on the agenda for this year. Germany and the Netherlands are confirmed locations for next year’s Dreamhack events. Team Australia has competed at a number of Dreamhack tournaments in the past. PAX Aus is a special chance for budding CS:GO players to join the ranks of Team Australia and compete against some of the best in the world.
ASUS Republic of Gamers on show at PAX Aus
Aside from the chance to attend Dreamhack, ASUS has numerous exciting things happening at PAX Aus. Fans can meet some of the best CS:GO casters in Australia. SPUNJ, “Bajo”, and Rob “ManicMundays” Munday will be at the booth to greet attendees. Check out some of the latest laptops from ASUS Republic of Gamers and play games. Fortnite, Overwatch, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be available for free play. As always, there will be plenty of SWAG and competitions. PAX Australia
There are many great activities happening at PAX Aus. The Six Masters is sure to be a highlight. Watch four of the best-performing teams from APAC battle it out. They’ll be playing Rainbow Six Siege.
