NoSmite joins Paris Eternal

“Hello, I am NoSmite! I am really excited to play with my new teammates,” wrote NoSmite. “I’ll do my best for Paris Eternal.” The South Korean main tank has competed for organizations like Hangzhou Spark and X6 Gaming, but he last played for the Spark’s Academy team Bilibili Gaming in a two-way contract. With this contract, he transitioned from sharing the tank role with Xu “Guxue” Qiulin to only substituting if Guxue was unavailable. While competing under Bilibili Gaming, the team finished in 3 – 4th in Season 2 of China’s Overwatch Contenders league.

During the offseason, NoSmite was removed from the Hangzhou Spark roster for the 2020 season. Now, the 22-year-old has joined Paris Eternal’s mixed Korean and European roster. He will also share the tank spot with Benjamin “BenBest” Dieulafait. The rest of the Paris Eternal lineup consists of Terence “SoOn” Tarlier, Kim “SP9RK1E” Young-han, and Jung “Xzi” Ki-hyo in DPS; Nicolas “NiCOgdh” Moret in flex; Choi “hanbin” Han-bin in off-tank; Damien “HyP” Souville and Luís “Greyy” Perestrelo in flex support; and Harrison “Kruise” Pond in support. While the roster is mixed, head coach Yun “Rush” Hee-won – along with coaches Kim “NineK” Beom-hoon, Jeong “Levi” Chung-Hyeok, and Go “Aid” Jae-yoon – are Korean.

With the home and away game system, the Paris Eternal will have three homestand events at the Zénith de Paris on April 11 – 12, May 9 – 10, and June 13 – 14. The team plays their first game against the Toronto Defiant on Feb 8. Can this team surpass their previous 14th place finish in the 2019 Overwatch League season?
